Took the "Bradley Method" classes and everything. I got stuck for 5 hours with no progression, and clearly was getting more and more exhausted. Finally I got the epidural, and 45 minutes later my son was born. Clearly for those 5 hours all I was doing was fighting my body. The epidural allowed me to relax and let the muscles do their thing. From that experience I encourage every woman I know to follow her body: scream, howl, get the epidural if it feels right in the moment.
